Powering
faith communities
when they need it most

We fund and operate battery storage for houses of worship at no cost to the congregation

Battery storage can benefit congregations

Savings

Cut electricity bills by tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars over the battery’s lifetime

Resilience

Provide the community heat, AC, Wi-Fi & charging during power outages

Creation care

Support the grid’s transition to clean energy and reduce reliance on fossil fuels

We help congregations realize these benefits

We’re actively looking for partners interesting in launching a pilot site with us. Reach out if you are interested!

How it works

Rain Barrel’s model turns a penalty for large houses of worship into an advantage: reducing energy bills, greening the grid, and building resilience.
